What Taproot Is

Taproot is a web application built by Vayumandala for exploring the AT Protocol network. It lets you look up accounts, browse records and collections, explore network infrastructure, and monitor real-time activity. It is available at atproto.at.

Using the Service

By using Taproot, you agree to these terms. You may use Taproot to browse publicly available AT Protocol data. You may sign in with your AT Protocol account via OAuth to access authenticated features.

You agree not to:

• Use the service to violate any laws or regulations
• Attempt unauthorized access to any part of the service or its infrastructure
• Interfere with or disrupt the service
• Use automated tools to scrape or bulk-access the service without permission
• Impersonate any person or entity

Content

Taproot displays content from the AT Protocol network. This content belongs to its respective creators. Vayumandala does not claim ownership of any user-generated content displayed through Taproot and is not responsible for content created by others on the AT Protocol network.

Authentication

When you sign in, Taproot uses AT Protocol OAuth to establish a session with your PDS (Personal Data Server). Your session tokens are stored in your browser's local storage and are not transmitted to or stored on Taproot's servers. You can end your session at any time by signing out or clearing your browser data.

Third-Party Services

Taproot connects to services across the AT Protocol ecosystem, operated by Vayumandala, Bluesky, Microcosm, and others. Your use of Taproot is also subject to the terms and policies of these services. See our Privacy Policy for a full list.

No Warranty

Taproot is provided as-is without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be accurate, uninterrupted, or error-free. The AT Protocol network is decentralized and content availability depends on individual PDS operators.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vayumandala is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Taproot, including loss of data or inability to access the service.

Changes

We may update these terms. Changes take effect when posted to this page. Continued use of Taproot after changes means you accept the updated terms.
